Posture & Breathing

Most people do not know that breathing and posture are related. If breathing patterns are not optimal posture issues could be prevalent.

You might be surprised at how many core muscles are also responsible for normal breathing. Faulty respiration might lead to an increase in the curve in the low back as well as other areas in the spine. There is a common relation to low back pain and faulty breathing patterns.

The diaphragm is a critical part of our breathing process. It attaches to the lower abdomen and rib cage. These areas are very important in keeping our posture correct.

If there is dysfunction in any of these areas posture and breathing will be affected in a negative way.

There are many exercises that can help with these issues. Dr. William Morgan of Morgan Chiropractic has worked with patients for years regarding proper biomechanics. Breathing and postural exercises are a critical part of whole-body wellness. Chiropractic care is a critical part in giving patients the best chance at postural correction and optimal breathing.
